The Atelier
Materials and shapes come to life in the atelier, where the entire creative process is in our hands: from design to pattern-making and manufacturing, everything is performed in-house. prioritising authenticity and quality.
It stands in contrast to fast fashion: a small-scaled production centred on the quality of materials, where a great amount of time is dedicated to each piece, with care and passion.
We source the best materials, take care of every detail and look for the perfect fit. We investigate an harmonious balance between modern techniques and traditional expertise. Our aim is to create a timeless wardrobe.
The creative process
Being a designer, pattern-maker and tailor means benefitting from a holistic vision. This allows for a complete in-house production and a constant search for improvement.
Experimenting is at core of this: a hands-on, material-led process, closer to a dialogue with the material than a fixed plan.
Ideas often originates and develop through the process itself. It means embracing uncertainty and welcoming mistakes — above all, listening to what the material needs.
The process begins with a toile, a first version made in plain canvas, then developed further. Depending on the complexity, it can go through several prototypes in the final fabric — a process that relies on a deep knowledge of the material, down to details as small as the thread used.
Evolution, not revolution
Our aim is to investigate an harmonious balance between the tradition of quality and a view of the future. — traditions, heritage and legacy as the foundation, revisited to find new solutions.
We create garments that combine refined simplicity with architectural construction: pieces designed to be practical and functional, without superfluous decoration.
This requires a great deal of experimentation and trial-and-error learning — work that stays completely unknown to the customer, and often remains hidden.
Experimenting with pattern-cutting. Combining drafting and draping techniques. Working with the grain of the fabric and gravity. New tailoring techniques, built one experiment at a time.
