CARE GUIDE

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

Each fabric requires special care to last longer and maintain their quality. It's essential to follow specific care guidelines, especially for delicate materials such as silk or cashmere.

Our collections are made using only the highest-quality of natural fibres. These types of materials need to be washed and cared for differently compared to synthetic materials like polyester. Always check the care label as it provides instructions for washing, drying, and ironing your garment.

Please find some general care tips for delicate below while specific care instruction are available inside each product page and provided in the shipment.

WOOL

Wool is a natural fiber that is obtained from the fleece of animals like sheep, goats, rabbits and others.
It known for its cosy, soft, and warm properties but its fibers’ structure can become rough if not cared for correctly, potentially leading to peeling or shrinkage. To ensure your woollen clothes last as long as possible and maintain their quality, it's crucial to check the care label and follow specific care guidelines.

  • Wool has a natural ability to clean itself and the first way to maintain your wool product is to air and keep them dry (alternatively, dry clean).

  • Nevertheless if needed hand wash in lukewarm water using a mild detergent specific for wool or delicate soap. Do not rub too hard. Soak for a few minutes then rinse with cool water

  • It is generally recommended to wash wool at a low temperature to prevent shrinkage or fiber damage, a maximum temperature of 30°C is usually recommended. Cold washing is often advised.

  • If the care label permits machine wash using a wool or hand wash program. Ensure the program washes at low temperature and with none or very low spin cycle (600-800 rpm)

  • Do not bleach and avoid fabric softeners that might reduce the fibres’ performance.

  • Gently squeeze to remove water and if possible dry flat at room temperature. Do not tumble dry.

  • Gently steam iron

SILK

Silk is a natural fiber that is obtained from cocoons produced by silkworms during their metamorphosis.
It known for its soft and luxurious texture but cannot be treated carelessly as manmade fabrics.

  • It is generally recommended to wash silk at a low temperature. Cold washing is often advised.
If the care label advises dry cleaning or handwashing, do not machine wash.

  • Always use a special laundry detergent for silk.

  • Hand wash in lukewarm water, soak for a few minutes then rinse with cold water. Do not wring. Lay flat to dry (silk is more delicate when wet)

  • If the care label permits machine wash using a silk or hand wash program. Ensure the program washes at low temperature and never put on a spin cycle.

  • Do not bleach

  • Do not tumble dry.

  • Iron at level 2 without steam
