Materials and provenance
Tussar peace silk is a wild, non-mulberry silk handwoven in the Indian state of West Bengal, using the Ahimsa (non-violence) method: the silkworm is allowed to complete its metamorphosis into a moth before the cocoon is harvested, so no animal is killed in the process.
Its beautiful natural fabric is a true product of artisanal craftsmanship — hand-spun and hand-woven using a mix of wild silk threads from the empty cocoons. The variety of yarns used brings the fabric's texture to life, resulting in a fabric that possesses a unique character.

Everyday refinement
Layer it over a linen top on warm afternoons, or over a fine merino knit as the seasons turn — its open front and elbow-length kimono sleeve make it an easy, versatile piece rather than a statement one. This is refined, honest luxury meant for daily life, not display.

Frequently asked questions
Is Tussar peace silk vegan? Peace silk (Ahimsa silk) allows the silkworm to complete its natural lifecycle and emerge as a moth before the cocoon is used, so no insect is killed in the process — though it is not classified as strictly vegan, as it remains an animal-derived fibre.
