PROFILE

Daniele Orlandi is a Como (Italy) based design studio specialising in research, development and design of women's fashion.
Benefitting from a singular vision which unites the various disciplines of garment development process (from design to pattern-making to manufacturing), we provide a full spectrum of services with a holistic all-inclusive approach. We worked with a variety of clients, from start-ups and nonprofit to luxury hospitality. We perform all functions in-house, thus improving the efficiency of a fragmented fashion system and allowing us to offer a fully co-ordinated and all-inclusive design work.
Fashion is in itself a game of convergences between styles, knowledge and functions. But from anthropometry to sociology, from touch to intuition, there is no field that fails to contribute to the logic of the project.

APPROACH

We believe in a very honest, direct, human-centred design approach where the respect for life, an attention to people, processes and materials, the confidence in the synergy between individuals, disciplines and knowledge are not only elements of a vision but integral parts of any project. Our practice is centred around creative pattern-cutting, loving to combine innovative techniques with traditional know-how, while focusing on all aspects of sustainability. We work with businesses that we feel align with our values offering specific expertise or comprehensive support that are both economically viable and functional.
