FABRIC & TECHNIQUE
Handwoven Tussah silk - Natural beauty
Its beautiful natural fabric is native to the Indian state of West Bengal: a true product of artisanal craftsmanship, hand-spun and hand-woven using a mix of wild silk threads from the empty cocoons (non-violent). The variety of yarns (Tussah, Eri, Muga…) used brings the fabric's texture to life resulting in a fabric that possesses a unique character.
These fibres are from organic agricolture and in Ahimsa quality which means non-violent silk breeding and production, allowing the metamorphosis of the silkworm to a butterfly to be completed without killing the animal.

Base colour: natural shades from beige to light brown due to varieties of yarns woven into the fabric
